UAP NatCon 46: A Virtual Convergence. Registration is Up!

Registration to the United Architects of the Philippines’ 46th National Convention (UAP NatCon 46) is now up as announced by the UAP Committee Director Markel Cesar A. Luna in the event’s official Facebook group page last February 8, 2021. NatCon 46 is scheduled every 3rd week of April and with the postponement of last year’s event due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s convention will be held fully online on April 22 – 24, 2021.

Ar. Markel Luna further described the virtual event as…

The NatCon 46 shall uphold its original theme, “FUSION”, as this is what we need now more than ever.
We must adjust to the “new and FUTURE normal” through:
– MELDING of ideas;
– ALLIANCE of Architects and other professionals;
– COLLABORATION of creative minds; and
– BLENDING Architectural Solutions for the good of the Filipino community.

The New Logo
The theme “FUSION” signifies STRENGTH, REJUVENATION, and DYNAMISM. These words were effectively incorporated into one logo.
Similar to the original one, the segments that form a disc-like assemblage around the UAP logo symbolize the different facets of Architecture, fusing together as one, reflecting the diversity of the profession.
The slanted orientation of the different parts of the logo would be a depiction of movement, which translates to the dynamism of Architects.
The new version of the logo, however, has changed its “suit” to a metallic one, which reflects power, resilience, and durability: traits that every Filipino Architect should embody, envigored by vibrant energy.

The NatCon 46 Program
Although the NatCon 46 shall not be in the form of a traditional physical gathering, this 3-day affair shall retain its usual lineup of activities: From the opening ceremony, annual business meeting, and COF events, to the UAP National Awards, Fellowship Nights, and CPD Seminars.
